What do I know?
In my second year of university, I found myself facing this challenge, seemingly out of nowhere. At first, I couldn't find anything that explained why I felt the way I did. I had never been through this before, and my desperation nearly led to me dropping out of my studies.A couple of years later, I am in the fortunate position where I can look back on my own journey to see what worked, and what didn't. I am not a clinical professional. I just know what would have best helped me navigate this challenge throughout my time at university. I believe this resource can help teams support many other students too.I created this resource to be the clear, actionable guide I wish I'd had when I was close to dropping out. It is specifically designed for use within higher education institutions and is made available through student support and wellbeing teams. It supports the student in understanding what they're going through (including a comprehensive list of possible symptoms).
It gives the student clear, practical steps to return to student life.
It makes the student aware of the stages of progress and setbacks. The resource will be available for licensing for the next academic year (September 2026).
